For the third year running Airdrieonians FC are proud to back the Airdrie Action Partnership (AAP) Christmas Toy Appeal – with the aim of making sure every child in the local area gets a Christmas present.

AAP, the winners of the North Lanarkshire 2023 Provost Award for Excellence, is made up of various community groups, third sector organisations, charities, and council services. The group engages through 6-weekly meetings with the intention of generating projects that work to address the priorities identified by the wider community. North Lanarkshire Council carried out a robust consultation exercise which highlighted three main priorities within Airdrie which are:

• Poverty

• Mental Health and Emotional wellbeing

• Digital Inclusion

With these priorities AAP’s objective is to promote the benefit of Airdrie residents and surrounding villages by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary and community groups, and partner organisations in a common effort for the advancement of the Airdrie people by providing services and supports or to assist in the provision of services and supports, to promote the health, wellbeing and improve the conditions of life of those living in Airdrie.

With this in mind AAP supported 341 local families and 717 local children during the Christmas Appeal 2025 and it is hoped this year AAP will provide this much needed support again through the continued generosity of local people and our partners.

To donate please bring a new toy along to the Airdrieonians vs Queen of the South on Saturday, November 14, and drop off to Iain Jamieson, based in the Fanzone @ The Rowan Suite, who will gladly accept the toys on behalf of AAP.

Toys can also be handed in to the Salvation Army Hall, 30 Hallcraig Street, Airdrie ML6 6AH from Monday 1st December to 18th December during normal working hours.
