We are pleased to announce the signing of Dundee United goalkeeper Ruairidh Adams, who joins on loan from the Tannadice club subject to SFA approval.

Keeper Ruairidh, who turns 22 today, has been with the Tangerines since 2020, picking up first-team experience with a series of loan deals at Edinburgh City, Kelty Hearts, and East Fife.

The Scotland U21 international became Airdrie’s second goalkeeping addition of the week after the signing of Jamie Sneddon, and he was pleased with the opportunity to head out on loan once again.

He told airdriefc.com: “I’ve been speaking to the club for a few weeks, so I’m happy to finally get it over the line.

“I’m looking forward to the season ahead, and hopefully I can help the club’s push to get back up to the Championship.”

And goalkeeping coach Callum Erskine added: “We’re delighted to welcome Ruairidh to the club, and I’m really looking forward to working with him.

“He has a lot of experience under his belt for his age, having played nearly 100 professional matches as well as numerous international appearances at under 21 level.

“He’ll add even more quality and competitiveness to the goalkeeping group.”
