We are pleased to announce the appointment of Calum Erskine as the club’s goalkeeping coach.

Highly-rated coach Calum has previous experience with Stirling Albion, Falkirk and Raith Rovers, as well as an ongoing position within the Scotland set-up.

Having worked with head coach John Rankin as a youth player at Hearts, Calum was delighted to get the opportunity to join up with Airdrie’s new boss once again.

He told airdriefc.com: “The phone went a couple of weeks ago – I had a few other offers at the time, but coming to work with the manager works perfectly.

“I’m here to help take Airdrie back to where they want to be, in the Championship.”

And head coach John Rankin was pleased to add a familiar face to his staff.

“He’s a character! Obviously all the coaching staff had moved on, and it’s a case of getting in people that we know and trust.

“He’s a very good young goalkeeping coach, he’s still only 25 so he’s got the world ahead of him, but he’s very enthusiastic, very loud and energetic, and the players like him. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
