Club Statement

Airdrieonians FC have today parted company with head coach Aaron Taylor-Sinclair.

Following discussions in the aftermath of our recent relegation, the club has made the decision to move in a different direction, and Aaron leaves with our thanks and best wishes for the future.

Joining the club from Falkirk in 2022, Aaron brought experience and versatility to the Diamonds’ defence as the club successfully navigated the play-offs and won promotion to the Championship.

Renewing his contract in 2023, ‘Sinky’ also took on a first-team coaching role, and a year later was named assistant manager.

Following the departures of both Rhys McCabe and Danny Lennon, Aaron took the reins as interim manager before being named head coach at the beginning of this year.

As well as making 42 appearances as a player and scoring one memorable goal against Falkirk, Aaron won seven caps for the Antigua & Barbuda national side while representing the Diamonds.

As head coach of Airdrie, Aaron battled hard against relegation despite taking charge while the club were in an unfavourable position, ultimately falling short in the play-off semi-final while contending with a host of injuries.

Aaron’s talent and professionalism will serve him well in his future career, and everyone at the club wishes him all the best as he moves on.
