Midfielder Liam McStravick has returned to his native Belfast to join Cliftonville for an undisclosed fee.

The Northern Ireland U21 international began his career with the Solitude side before moving to Linfield in 2022.

Joining Airdrie in August 2023, McStravick went on to make 63 appearances for the Diamonds, grabbing five goals – including a sensational equaliser in the 2024 SPFL Trust Trophy final which paved the way to a 2-1 win over The New Saints.

The cup win was bittersweet for McStravick, who picked up an ACL injury in the match, but having battled back bravely to return to action last season, his patience was rewarded with a number of international call-ups.

Now taking the opportunity to return to his hometown team, we thank Liam for his efforts during his time at the club, and wish him all the very best for what we’re sure will be a successful future.
