We are pleased to announce the signing of midfield prospect Adam Aird.

17-year-old Aird, a former St Mirren academy player, has been training with the first team in recent months, and has secured a contract with the club after impressing the coaching staff.

Signing his contract at the Albert Bartlett Stadium, Adam said: “I’m delighted to be here, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the last few months training with the team.

“It’s a great opportunity for me, and I can’t wait to get started!”

Manager Rhys McCabe was pleased to capture another player with impressive potential.

“Adam’s an exciting young player who will be fully focused on transitioning into the first team.

“He’s in a similar mould to Dean McMaster – mature beyond his years, technically gifted and has a great footballing IQ in the middle of the pitch.

“His attitude and hunger to improve will help him to fulfil his potential as a real exciting prospect for the future.”
