We are delighted to welcome a new face to the boardroom, as Mark Sneddon joins the club as Facilities Management Director.

Mark is a well-known face in the crowd through his decades of supporting the Diamonds, and has worked closely with the club since his company, Airdrie Mechanical Services, came on board as a sponsor.

Although it is a modern facility, the Albert Bartlett Stadium is now over 25 years old and we are putting in place more routine maintenance and changes with the aim of raising the facility to SFA silver standard. We have already seen results of this with our new dugouts and state-of-the-art PA system being installed, and we’ll have another exciting update to follow in the coming days.

With Mark overseeing the current renovations, the directorship is a natural progression due to his unique position and ability to advise the board on such matters, and we look forward to working closely with him as the club continues to progress on and off the pitch.

Managing director Scott Russell said: “I’ve known Mark since high school, and he’s a lifelong Airdrie supporter.

“His knowledge and experience in the building services industry will prove invaluable in ensuring that the Albert Bartlett Stadium is maintained to the highest standard for the long term.”
