Festive Friends 2023
Another fantastic Festive Friends meal was served up yesterday as our annual community Christmas celebration took place at Excelsior Stadium.
50 special visitors from the local area were treated to a delicious Christmas lunch, which the club provided in partnership with the SPFL Trust and Airdrie Community Trust.
We were fully entertained by the children from Hilltop Primary School, who sang some wonderful Christmas Carols, and by our good friend Ross Owen, who hosted the event in his usual warm and funny style.
A fabulous three-course Christmas meal was served up by Alan Boslem and the Big Bite Catering team, and there was plenty of singing, dancing and hilarity – as usual everyone went home with a full stomach and a big smile on their face!
On departure all of our guests were given a little Christmas present to top off their day – our thanks go to FN Teamwear for creating another bespoke Christmas gift especially for our attendees.
Airdrieonians Commercial Director Gordon Watson commented: “Thanks again to our friends at the SPFL Trust for helping out with the funding to hold this amazing event.
“Christmas is a time for celebration and to make sure that everyone in the community has a good time. This event allows us to contribute in a small way, by bringing our guests to the stadium to have a really good party and an amazing meal.
“We have to thank all of our close partners for taking the time to assist in this event. It doesn’t stop there though, as we are also going to be handing out 40 Festive Friends hampers to the local area!”
More information on our Festive Friends hampers will be available soon.
Once more we’d like to thank the SPFL Trust and Airdrie Community Trust, all of our helpers, and especially our guests for making it another Festive Friends day to remember!
