We are delighted to announce the appointment of former Airdrieonians hero Brian McPhee as the first member of a new steering group designed to engage with Diamonds fans on a number of topics.

Brian, who gained cult status as a striker with Airdrie between 1996-98 and 2005-07, has returned in the role of Club Ambassador, with the specialised remit of advising the club and supporters on diversity matters.

The importance of diversity across the support is vital as we move the club forward on all fronts, and we’re delighted that Brian has accepted our invitation to take the lead on this aspect of our new group.

As a fans favourite across both of his spells with the Diamonds, we’re sure you’ll share our happiness at having Brian on board, and we look forward to working with him. We’ll bring you further details of the new steering group, along with the opportunity to get involved, in due course.
