Player of the Year awards

Another thrilling season packed with outstanding performances and eye-catching goals is drawing to a conclusion, and the time has come to vote for your Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season.

Like last season, the impact of potential play-off involvement and subsequent player holidays on our calendar means that we are unfortunately unable to have an awards dinner this year, but instead we will announce the winners and present trophies on the pitch after the final home match of the regular league season against Queen of the South on Saturday, April 29.

Fans attending the fixture are invited to stay behind to watch and show your appreciation to Rhys McCabe and the playing squad.

Because of this situation, we are only considering players who are still at the club for each award.

The Player of the Year award, sponsored by Airdrie Mechanical Services, is open to all players who have made three or more appearances over the course of the season.

The GD Drilling Young Player of the Year award is for players who meet the same criteria, and who were aged 21 or younger at the beginning of the season.

The Goal of the Season award, sponsored by Southpaw Design, features ten top class goals after much deliberating to narrow the field. You can watch the nominees below before voting.

We'll also be announcing the Players Player of the Year, sponsored by Forte Engineering, and the Players Young Player of the Year, sponsored by Holemasters.

Use the links at the bottom of the page to cast your votes. Polling closes at 9:00pm next Sunday (April 23), and we look forward to seeing you after the Queen of the South match to find out the winners.

Plans are already underway for next season’s Player of the Year and Hall of Fame dinner, so watch this space!
