Defender Jay Riley has joined Lowland League side Dalbeattie Star on loan for the remainder of the season.

Northern Irish full-back Jay recently joined the club from Coleraine after a frustrating contract delay, and made his Diamonds debut in the first match of the year against FC Edinburgh.

The 18-year-old will now see out the season at Islecroft Stadium, where former Diamond Bryan Gilfillan is assistant manager.
