We are delighted to announce that the club have agreed terms on a deal to sign winger Lewis McGregor, who will join subject to SFA clearance following his departure from Morton.

Pacy wide man Lewis, 18, had already made 19 appearances for the Greenock side, scoring twice, before leaving Cappielow by mutual consent last week.

Joining the squad for training this evening, he told airdriefc.com: “All the boys are brand new, they welcomed me into the squad which is always good!

“I’m just getting into the game - just trying to make a name for myself. Hopefully I can come here and kick on.”

And manager Rhys McCabe added: “Lewis comes from Morton with a good pedigree. He’s what we look for in the wider areas - he’s raw, he’s got quick movements and blistering pace, so he gives us a different dimension in terms of speed.

“He’s a good age too, with loads of room to improve and grow. We’re delighted to get him in.”
