NoHomeKit

Airdrieonians are proud to support Shelter Scotland’s #NoHomeKit campaign to raise awareness of the scale of homelessness across the country.

Scottish clubs are being asked to swap their home colours for an away or third kit for a weekend of support for those with no safe place to call home.

We will be wearing a change strip for Friday night’s fixture at Links Park, as will hosts Montrose - and we ask fans to wear our change colours too if possible. While the players love nothing more than being cheered on by a sea of red and white in the stands and terraces, for this match we hope to see plenty of red, black and navy blue.

Every 90 minutes, five households are made homeless in Scotland.

The housing emergency continues to devastate lives. This winter, thousands of people will spend Christmas trapped in temporary accommodation like dingy hostels, on friends’ sofas, or even sleeping in freezing cars. This is something we can’t ignore.

With the growing cost of living crisis, the situation is set to get much worse. With your help Shelter Scotland can continue to provide free advice and support to the thousands of people facing homelessness and continue the fight for home.

So for the Friday’s fixture, get involved in #NoHomeKit; swap your home colours for an away or third kit, and if possible make a donation to Shelter Scotland. You can do so on their website using the link below.
