Striker Salim makes Stranraer loan switch

Salim Kouider-Aïssa has joined Stranraer on loan until January as the striker aims to complete his injury comeback with regular game-time.

After a long rehabilitation following a knee ligament injury, Salim made his first start of the season in Friday’s SPFL Trust Trophy match at Alloa. Prior to that, the 26-year-old had netted twice in seven substitute appearances this season.

As the popular frontman looks to regain full match sharpness, he will now make the short-term loan switch to Jamie Hamill’s Stranraer, where former Diamonds favourite Darryl Duffy is assistant manager.

Salim joins the Blues squad for tomorrow’s cinch League 2 visit of Albion Rovers. We wish him all the best during his time at Stair Park, and look forward to welcoming him back to the squad in January.
