We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Dean McMaster, who joins on loan from St Mirren.

The 19-year-old is adept in a number of roles in the centre of midfield, and moves from the Paisley club having made two Challenge Cup appearances for the Buddies.

McMaster told airdriefc.com: “I’ve come here to try to play as many games as possible, showcase my talent and just enjoy it, really!

“I’m usually a sitting midfielder, but 8, 6, 10… anywhere in the middle, I can do a job.”

Manager Rhys McCabe added: “Dean’s a good young player with really good technical ability.

“He gets around the pitch well, and hopefully we can bring him on and add to his development.”
