We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Justin Devenny, who returns to the Diamonds after leaving Kilmarnock.

18-year-old Justin spent the second half of last season on loan at the Excelsior, making two starts and eight substitute appearances.

Following his release from the Rugby Park club, new Airdrie boss Rhys McCabe moved quickly to snap up the young talent - who was happy to return to the Diamonds on a permanent deal.

He told airdriefc.com: “I’m delighted to be here.

“I really enjoyed last year, and I’m hoping to come in this year and just show a wee bit more.

“I’d have liked to have played more, but hopefully this is the year that I’ll go and kick on.”

Rhys added: “Justin’s a good young player with a really good attitude - we really liked him.

“We’re all hoping he can make that next step and work his way into the team.”
