We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Euan O’Reilly, who joins from St Johnstone after a spell on loan at the Diamonds last season.

O’Reilly impressed in his brief appearances at the Penny Cars Stadium, but his loan spell from the McDiarmid Park side was unfortunately cut short by injury.

Following his release from the Saints, Euan began a rehabilitation programme with Diamonds physio John McMenemy, who was pleased to give the flying winger a clean bill of health.

Rejoining the club on a permanent deal, Euan told airdriefc.com: “I’m delighted to get this sorted - although my time here last season was cut short, I loved every minute of it and I was desperate to come back.

“I’ve been working hard on my fitness, and I’m buzzing to get started now and show everyone what I can do.”

Director of Football Stuart Millar added: “When we heard that Euan was leaving St Johnstone we were immediately interested, and after John reported that there were no injury problems and the player was at 100%, we moved quickly to conclude the deal.

“Euan is a hungry young player who performed well in his short time here, and we’re delighted to add yet more pace to the attacking areas.

“We know what we’re getting with Euan, and he has a wonderful attitude as well as fantastic potential.”
