Last weekend saw our End of Season Awards evening taking place on Twitter, with Callum Fordyce and Leon McCann the big winners on the night.

The current measures meant that we were unable to hold our traditional Player of the Year dinner at the stadium, but fans voted in huge numbers in our online polls for our social media version of the event, which included videos from Director of Football Stuart Millar and First-Team Coach Bryan Prunty, who announced the winners, and reactions from the main category award winners.

The Players Player awards had been announced earlier in the month, with Leon McCann winning the Players Young Player of the Year award and Callum Fordyce picking up the Players Player of the Year award.

Next up were two new awards for Season 2019/20, with the board of directors choosing their winners. The Directors Young Player of the Year award went to Callum Smith, while club captain Sean Crighton took the Directors Player of the Year award.

For our main awards, the winners were decided by supporters votes.

Calum Gallagher scooped the Goal of the Season award for his stunning overhead kick against Clyde.

Leon McCann made it a double, adding the Young Player of the Year award to his Players Young Player gong.

And Callum Fordyce was also celebrating a double as he was named Airdrieonians Player of the Year for Season 2019/20.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who voted and watched the awards, and to congratulate the winners and indeed the whole squad for making it a memorable season on the park. Well done!
