We are delighted to announce that club captain Sean Crighton has extended his current contract for a further year.

 

The Diamonds skipper has consistently proven to be a top performer this season, leading the team to the top end of the League One table as the halfway point approaches.

 

Having tasted title success with Morton and Livingston, Sean is keen to do the same in his second spell at Airdrieonians.

 

He said: “I’m over the moon to be extending my time here. There’s been a great feeling about the whole place recently from players, fans, staff and upstairs - everyone is pulling together and it just needs to continue.

 

“Everyone knows how much I’ve enjoyed my time here, and I’m hopeful that I can contribute to the club’s ongoing success and promotion to the Championship.”

 

Director of Football Stuart Millar was delighted to see Sean extend his stay.
