December 20, 2019

We are delighted to announce that goalkeeper David Hutton has committed his future to the club by signing a contract extension until the summer of 2021.

The experienced stopper joined the Diamonds from Arbroath in May 2018, and quickly established himself as a fans favourite with some impressive displays between the sticks.

Putting pen to paper on his new deal at the Penny Cars Stadium, David said: “I think everyone can see how much I love playing for this club, so I’m delighted to sign up for another year.

“We’ve been on a great run recently, so hopefully we can continue that and I can be part of a promotion-winning side as we get Airdrie back where they belong.”

Director of Football Stuart Millar added: “David is an experienced goalkeeper who has played a big part in our recent success.

“More importantly, we believe he can play a big part in the success we want to achieve at this club, so we’re very happy with the commitment he’s shown in signing a contract extension.”

We’ll have further contract news on airdriefc.com later this afternoon.
