We have had a significant number of requests to implement a family orientated section in our stands, mainly to help prevent children and adults from being exposed to a minority of people who use foul and abusive language at our matches routinely directed towards our players and management.

 

The club has taken the decision to implement the following procedures with effect from our next home game.

 

• Sections D and F (either side of the tunnel) will be family friendly sections.  

• Sections B and C of the main West Stand will be allocated to away fans.

• Sections G, H and J will be allocated to all other Airdrieonians fans who do not wish to be in the family friendly sections.

 

Fans are reminded that personal attacks on our players and management are not acceptable. Anyone who directs abuse at the club’s employees and spoils the matchday experience for those fans sitting around them is in direct contravention of section 10 of the ground regulations and will be ejected from the stadium.

       

The team have been inspired by the support received in a number of games so far this season. A positive and vociferous Airdrie support can be a huge lift to the players, and as a club we respectfully request that all fans be mindful of this. Messages from the players and management on this subject will be released on our social media channels shortly.
