The Airdrieonians board of directors, management, players and staff would like to thank Diamonds supporters for their outstanding backing at the Falkirk Stadium yesterday.

 

From the end of the poignant pre-match Remembrance ceremony until long after the final whistle, a large Airdrie crowd cheered, sang and encouraged the team, and it was much appreciated by the players on the pitch.

 

Club captain Sean Crighton told airdriefc.com: “The fans were our 12th man yesterday - even when we conceded they gave us the belief to score the winner.

 

“When we scored the reaction was unreal, and that passion between fans and players is what football is all about.

 

“That support will help us even more as the season continues, and we hope to give our fans more moments like that!”
