Airdrie Community Trust back free kids season tickets
May 31, 2019
The Airdrie Community Trust is proud to offer free season tickets to young Diamonds supporters for the forthcoming season.
It is vitally important that we can allow young supporters the opportunity to come along on a Saturday and watch their local team. Having a free season ticket scheme will not only allow this to happen, but importantly may encourage other young supporters to come along and get behind Airdrieonians.
After consulting with a number of lifelong Airdrie supporters, many of whom were lifted over the turnstiles as children, we have received feedback and guidance on how this scheme should be implemented and managed going forward.
The offer will be open to anyone under 16, and details on applying will be announced when season tickets go on sale.
Fans aged between 13 and 15 will be able to apply on their own, while those under 13 will be eligible to apply with an accompanying adult season ticket holder, as ground regulations stipulate that children under this age must be supervised.
The scheme is being funded by the proceeds of the Airdrie Community Trust “Legends vs Allstars” match on June 22, with the directors of Airdrieonians FC pledging to cover any funding shortfall to ensure as many young fans as possible can watch the club next season.
We look forward to seeing you all roaring the Diamonds towards a successful 2019/20 campaign!
