Two new players signed up at Penny Cars Stadium last night ahead of the Reserve League 2 kick-off on September 10.

Defender David Wilson joined Airdrieonians Academy star Sam McNee in putting pen to paper for the Diamonds second-string squad.

Centre-back Wilson (17) joins from Livingston, where he featured for the West Lothian club's Under 20s side.

​

And wing-back McNee, who can also play as a forward, makes the step-up from Airdrie's Under 17 squad.

Coach James Grant said: "We're delighted to get these two boys on board. David is a big lad who gives us options at the back, and Sam has pace to burn and lots of potential."
