We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Scotland U19 star Jordan Houston from Rangers.

 

The 19-year-old wing-back checked in at Penny Cars Stadium for his first training session with the Diamonds tonight, and joins the club until the end of the season.

 

Jordan, who made his Rangers debut in the Scottish Cup win over Cowdenbeath last month, told airdriefc,com: “I’m delighted to come here on loan to get some first-team experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting started.

 

“Personally I’m hoping to play as many games as I can, but it’s also important to help the team to put a run together and move up the table.”

 

Manager Ian Murray added: “We’re really pleased to get Jordan in, I felt it was an area of the pitch we needed to strengthen.

 

“It’s important to have competition for places, and this gives us a boost for the final quarter of the season.

 

“Jordan’s very highly thought of in the Scottish set-up and at Rangers, so we’re all happy to get him here and hopefully he’ll do himself justice and go back a better player.”
