The Diamonds' second-string squad continued to take shape last night as right-back Jamie McFaulds signed for the club.

17-year-old defender McFaulds played for the U20s side last season after signing from Hearts, but made the decision to take a short break from football to concentrate on his education.

​

Having now finished school, Jamie was happy to put pen to paper for Airdrie, with reserve coach James Grant equally pleased with the signing.

Grant told airdriefc.com: "Jamie's an attacking right-back / wing-back, and we're all delighted to have him on board after a good pre-season."
