Diamonds extend Suicide Prevention link

July 13, 2018

Airdrieonians are delighted to announce a continuation of their partnership with Suicide Prevention in North Lanarkshire.

The deal will see the organisation's logo appear on the bottom of the home strips for the forthcoming season, and will also see the continuation of open sessions for both fans and club staff alike on coping with suicide and spotting the symptoms in others.

Last week, local counsellors and members of NL Lanarkshire attended a photoshoot at the Penny Cars Stadium to launch the new kit with the Diamonds, while today, gaffer Stephen Findlay and defender Jonathan Page attended a national launch at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility, along with players from our county neighbours at Clyde, Albion Rovers and Motherwell, with Stevie addressing an audience of 50 on behalf of the players and management of all four teams.

The deal is unique in British football with all professional teams in the area bearing the same logo to promote this crucial campaign.
