The Diamonds Lotto received a boost this week when Scott Clelland Golf Technology was revealed as the new main ticket sponsor.

 

The golf professional, who lives in Airdrie and is a lifelong fan of the Diamonds, operates from Hayston Golf Club in Kirkintilloch.

 

As well as offering a high level of coaching, Scott also offers club fitting and retail sales.

 

Scott said: “It makes perfect sense to work with Airdrie FC with the Diamonds Lotto sponsorship. As a local who is keen to support local business, the relationship will grow in strength as we provide supporters with all their golf-related and corporate products.

Commercial Manager Douglas Allsop said: “Scott was one of those ideal sponsors… a lifelong fan (and original member of the Diamond Jack Club), who came to me with the idea - with the deal then being signed and sealed over a pint.

“He and his dad enter the lottery every week, playing at club partners the West End Bar, and Scott could see the huge advertising potential that the lottery tickets have.

 

“It’s great to have him on board, and aside from this, we will be working on other projects together in the background to maximise revenue for the club, such as golf days.

 

“We also plan to have an open evening in the next three weeks for lottery agents old and new, to discuss ideas for going forward to improve the process. Further details will be announced in due course.”

 

Scott came to the stadium this week to launch the new tickets, and met Youth Academy Manager Scott Black and First Team Manager Stevie Findlay. An unnamed source told airdriefc.com that going by their swing, both Stevie and Blacky need all the help they can get, and will be enlisting the help of Scott!
