We are delighted to announce the signing of central defender Jordan McGregor.

 

Jordan (20) spent the first half of the season on loan at the club from Hamilton Academical, but has now left the New Douglas Park side and immediately put pen to paper on a deal with the Diamonds.

 

First team coach Stephen Findlay told airdriefc.com: “We’re delighted that we were able to secure Jordan, I think he’s a fantastic acquisition for the club and I look forward to working with him for the rest of the season.

 

“Jordan’s shown that he can be a big player for us, both for his footballing ability and his leadership skills on the park. He’s turning into a very commanding centre half, and we look very assured when he’s in the team.”

 

Jordan added: “I’m glad to be back and to continue to get game time week in week out. Hopefully we can keep progressing and get to the play-offs this year.”

 

Having recovered from the foot injury which saw him miss last week’s tie at Albion Rovers, Jordan goes straight back into the squad to face East Fife.

 

Meanwhile, the loan deals for Ryan Tierney and Jordan Allan have also come to an end, and they return to Hamilton and Wolves respectively.
