Airdrieonians FC announce Official Club Partners

24th May 2016

We are delighted to launch our new partnership scheme for small businesses in Airdrie. Twelve local companies will form an exclusive group of Official Club Partners for the coming season.

Each of the Official Club Partners will offer a special discount on their products and services to our season ticket holders for 2016/17. The club will also run a wide variety of events in the coming months in conjunction with all the partners.

Chairman Tom Wotherspoon said “We have promised to make our football club the heartbeat of Airdrie town and developing close partnerships with local businesses, helps us to achieve exactly that.

"I am very pleased local businesses recognise the positive changes already made and believe our vision, and the impact it will have not only on the club but also on town itself.

"Their support means a lot to me and everyone at the club.”

The first four businesses who have joined the scheme are Alba Property Landscaping, Walkers BonBon, Ultimate Fitness and BF Graphics.

Grant Lambie, owner of Alba Property Landscaping said “As a lifelong Airdrie fan and a self-employed local businessman, I am delighted to come on board as an Official Club Partner.

"Having my own business means I don’t get the chance to help the club and the Trust as much as I would like, but I hope my partnership deal helps in some way to the sustained success of our club.”

Anthony Walker, owner of local bakers Walkers BonBon said: “We are a local family owned business and appreciate the importance of the community of Airdrie working together and supporting one another.

"We are already stockists of Airdrie merchandise on behalf of the Supporters Trust and have therefore built up a great rapport with the fans who we see regularly in our shop.

"We are looking forward to strengthening that bond even further thanks to our partnership with the club.”

Karen McGinty, co-owner of BF Graphics commented: “We felt this would be a great opportunity to partner with the local football club at an exciting time in their journey and ours.

"Our relationship with the local community has been the key to our success and this exciting new partnership will add to that.”

And Bruce Budden, co-owner of Ultimate Fitness said: “We jumped at the chance to become an Official Club Partner of Airdrieonians FC and support our local team.

"They are a famous club which is steeped in history and we are thrilled to be part of its future.”

We will announce four more Official Club Partners next week. If you would like to join the club as an Official Club Partner, please contact Douglas Allsop, Commercial Manager on douglas.allsop@airdriefc.com

Don’t miss out – there are only a few opportunities left!
