Thompson loan extended

Airdrieonians FC loan star Jordan Thompson has extended his deal from parent club Rangers to remain with the Diamonds for the rest of the season.
The 19-year-old Gers midfielder has already shown his class in his first month at the Club with a thrilling goal and two assists in the 3-1 win at Cowdenbeath.
Jordan is a popular figure with his team-mates as he boosts his football education adding creativity to our efforts in League One.
Now the former Manchester United player will stay put for the run-in when he returns from international duty with Northern Ireland Under-19s as he bids to shine in the UEFA Under-19 Elite Stage in the Netherlands.
Jordan is a key part of Stephen Craigan’s squad and his side begin their campaign against Poland on Thursday.
As his Diamonds mates tackle Albion Rovers in the derby on Saturday Jordan will be in action against host nation Holland.
The Irish end their trip with a match against the Ukraine on Tuesday March 29 and Jordan will be back in the Airdrieonians camp for the big trip to Stranraer on Saturday April 2.
Acting head coach Danny Lennon will have derby talisman Jim Lister back in the fray for the Rovers clash with another striking option, Motherwell loanee Dylan Mackin, also battling back from flu and hoping to be in contention.
Meanwhile, first teamers Jamie Bain and Adam Brown will get game time in the Under-20s tonight (Monday) against Development League West leaders Morton in what looks an entertaining match-up at the Excelsior (kick-off 8pm).
