U12s go free for the rest of the season

22nd January 2014

After discussions with the Club, the Supporters Trust is pleased to announce that they will sponsor free entry to children 12 and under into the remaining eight home games of the regular season. This offer is also open to all visiting away fans.

Tickets will be available from the Club shop before kick-off.

The Supporters Trust is very pleased that the Club has accepted our offer to fund this initiative.

We are very aware of the financial constraints on many supporters and hope that this scheme allows children to come along who wouldn't normally be able to attend games.

Young fans are needed by all clubs and we hope this offer is the catalyst for them to come along and support their local team.

The Trust wish to encourage youngsters along to the matches and see this as a first step to bringing them up to follow the Diamonds.

The Club are delighted with the Supporters Trust Initiative to sponsor free child places for ages 12 and under until the end of the season.

This offer will be open to all visiting away fans as well which is a fantastic gesture. New young fans are needed by all clubs and not just ourselves.

Ann Marie Ballantyne confirmed "This is the next generation of supporters and it is important that we try to strengthen the bond between these young supporters and the Club.

"It is an excellent gesture by the Trust who have done sterling work with the Airdrie Aces (Young Supporters Club) over a number of years.

"For those loyal parents who invested in young season tickets at the start of the season, we are putting together a special plan to compensate them also and we would ask them to contact the Club directly".
