A new book on Scottish Football is available, and with a chapter on Airdrie and a foreword written by ex-Diamond Mark McGeown, it's sure to be of interest to Airdrieonians fans.

The book takes in author Martin McNelis' mission to visit all 42 professional football grounds in Scotland, a feat he achieved within an eight month period.

Along the way Martin overcomes many obstacles, including the unpredictable Scottish weather, questionable sat-nav direction, changed kick-off times, reluctant sons and, on occasion, unhelpful stewards. What emerges is an odyssey that establishes the keen interest at all levels in the Scottish game from the Champions League to the Ramsdens Cup.
