Boss Gary Bollan has urged the fans to be the 12th Man and roar Airdrieonians to League One safety on Saturday.

The Diamonds will clinch survival with two games to spare if they beat ninth-placed East Fife at New Broomfield. 

​

A sparkling run of only one defeat – at the hands of champions Rangers – in 13 games means Airdrie are in control of their own fate ahead of the Methil side's visit. 

​

And gaffer Bollan hopes the Diamonds faithful can raise the roof for the club's biggest game of the season. 

​

He said: "It's up to us. It's in our hands. Getting the win to keep us up will be our aim come Saturday. 

​

"This is our biggest game of the season. We're at home and know we're safe if we win the game. 

​

"The supporters are vital and hopefully we'll get a few along who haven't been there in a while because it is such a big game. 

​

"The lads on the park appreciate the backing that comes from the stands. 

​

"I'm sure the fans can help us along the way on Saturday and that we can give them something to be happy about." 

​

Airdrie are unbeaten in five games and have won three of their last six with Bollan insisting the focus will be on maintaining current form. 

​

He added: "We will look to take the game to them and continue in the manner we have since the turn of the year. 

​

"Good results breed confidence. 

​

"The players are going out for games and don't expect to get beat. We had a losing mentality but we've overcome that." 

​

The Diamonds are without suspended full-back Paddy Boyle so Bollan will be forced into a defensive reshuffle.
