Brechin City v Airdrieonians preview

6th December 2013

Gary Bollan heads to Glebe Park this Saturday looking for his first points since being appointed Airdrieonians manager.

The 40-year-old has suffered four straight defeats since taking over at the end of October - although two of those losses came at Rangers.

The Diamonds are five points adrift of safety at the bottom of the SPFL League One table and have lost nine of their last 10 games.

But Bollan, who won back-to-back championships with Livingston, believes results and performances will improve as he prepares for the tough trip to Brechin City.

He said: "It's a difficult situation. We have a lot of good players in there but they don't have much confidence.

"We're all in this situation together and it is up to us to get out of this situation together.

"I'm sure we will turn things around. Getting three points would be a massive help."

Airdrie slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Stranraer in their last outing.

Bollan added: "When you are making it easy for teams to score goals then you create your own problems.

"That seems to be us at the minute. But we have to keep working hard and believe that we will get things right."
