Welcome to the club. Lewis how have things gone since your arrival?
I have to say that I am really happy to be here. It has been a difficult start but I believe the club are destined for better things and we will be trying to play our part.     

 

If not football what would you be doing or plans post football career?
I am already getting involved in coaching. I help out my friend [Lee Wallace] who has an early touches school and I go along and help out. I want to learn about the coaching and be involved later on as well when I have finished playing.

Your clubs from the past?    
Hearts, Hamilton Accies, Alloa Athletic, Miami All Stars, Cowdenbeath and now Airdrieonians

 

Some memories or your highlight at club level over your career and Miami?
It was with Cowdenbeath winning the league and staying up were highlights. My dad lives there and I was staying there for about 7 months. They play at the level below MLS and it was very competitive.

Tattoos, how many do you have and what are they about? 
I have loads of them about 20 and a variety – stars behind my ears, my favourite number 10, angels in memory of people who have passed away. Too many to cover.

Which game has seen the team play at the level they are capable of?  
I think in the first couple of games of the season against Hamilton and Stenhousemuir. We matched Hamilton and they have gone on to a really good run since. Things are just not clicking for us at the moment but we need to get back to competing the way we did in those matches.

Any particular memories from games you would have played against Airdrieonians?
I scored my first ever league goal for Cowdenbeath against them. It was one of the luckiest goals if I recall - my shot came came back off the keeper, hit my knee and went in. I have always thought their facilities were first class when I played against them.

How do you see the league going this season given we have 8 points from 9 games, how do you assess our first quarter of league matches?
There is no doubt it has been very disappointing. We have been poor. I think that everyone is disappointed with what has happened, the players, the management, the fans and we should have had more points than we have. We will need to improve in the next quarter and I think that we will win a lot more.

Rangers apart who have been the best league opposition this season and why?
Well, Rangers are well above the rest but I thought that Ayr United were very good particularly when they were down to nine against us. Stenhousemuir will also fancy their chances. It is a very tight league outwith of Rangers. There will be a lot of twists and turns and I hope the fans stick with us as we try to get to the top.

And finally, top scorer this season, any target in mind, what has been your previous best for a season? 
I have five already this season and believe you need to be there to miss them. Hopefully though I can get close to the 16 I scored for Cowdenbeath.
