The Club would like to confirm the appointment of Chris Ewing to the Board of Directors of Airdrieonians Football Club with immediate effect.

Chris (34), although Scottish, is based in Paris and has a number of football business interests both here and abroad under his Edusport brand.

Jim Ballantyne explained "We have been working closely with Chris for a number of months to review the Club strategy and we are delighted that he has agreed to come on board. 

​

"He currently operates a French Academy based in Scotland which is expanding but he also works with Scholarships in the USA for up and coming youngsters."

​

Chris said "I am honoured and privileged to be welcomed onto the board at Airdrieonians FC, a club with such a wonderful tradition and history. 

​

"I have met and spoken with the Chairman, Jim, at length over the last few months and I have been impressed with his vision for the club.

​

"I am excited about the prospect of working together to implement new initiatives that will, hopefully over time, bring great success to Airdrieonians FC."

Jim further remarked "We have been working hard on improving our young player pathway over the last few years now but there were still a number of gaps in the chain to be filled and our link with Chris will now make this almost complete.

"As a result there will be a number of exciting new Club initiatives about to be launched and details will be released shortly."
