Visit to St Andrews Hospice
26th April 2013
This week representatives of the Club took time out to visit St Andrews Hospice in the heart of Airdrie to hand over a signed shirt.
Club Director Rose Ballantyne, who arranged the get together, commented: 'We know that the fund-raising team at St Andrews need all the help that they can get and it is hoped that the shirt will help in some small way. We look forward to assisting the team with fund raising activities in the future.'
Manager Jimmy Boyle commented: 'I've visited the hospice before and, like many others, am impressed by the dedication of the staff there. The facilities available and care provided by St Andrews are first rate and I have every admiration for the work that they do.'
Also in attendance was goalkeeper Kenny Arthur, whose wife Louise works at the facility.
Kenny advised: 'Louise keeps me appraised of the activities planned by the fund-raising team and I help out whenever she tells me I will!
But seriously, I have to say that they are a very inventive crowd and really do make fund-raising fun.'
Airdrie supporters wishing to donate to this very worthy cause can do so in a number of ways.
