YOU’RE A BIT OF A GOAL MACHINE NOW!
Haha, I don’t know about that! I’ve been in the right position two games in a row, but it’s good to score.

WHAT DO YOU MAKE OF THE TEAM’S RECENT FORM?
I think we’re definitely getting to where we think we should be after going through a bit of a bad spell, but we know we’re good enough to be in the league and we’re getting there now. We’re working hard and getting the results that we deserve so it’s been good.

WHAT EFFECT WILL IT HAVE BEING KNOCKED OUT OF THE CUP COMPETITIONS SO EARLY?
It’s obviously disappointing, everybody loves going on a cup run and it helps the team’s morale etc but now we need to focus on the league and focus on what the outcome is.

WHY DID YOU SIGN FOR AIRDRIE?
Airdrie’s a massive club and I took the chance to sign and play in this division after coming up through the junior ranks, or the longer route. It’s a chance I could never turn down and I’m delighted to be here and get in the team, and scoring goals! [Scoring] was a great moment and for it to happen five days later was another top moment.

HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO JUNIOR FOOTBALL?
It’s obviously different because in junior football you don’t come across teams with 11 of the greatest players; and when you play in the First Division you don’t get players who are just there for a game. It’s definitely top players and it’s a lot sharper, and that’s something I had to work on and I feel like I’m getting there now.

HAVE SOME OF THE OTHER PLAYERS HELPED YOU WITH THAT?
Lils has been very helpful, obviously he’s experienced and he’s shown me a lot of stuff. John Boyle is another one who came through the junior ranks so he’s given me a pat on the back or a bit of a boost when it’s been needed.

DO YOU THINK MORE PLAYERS CAN MAKE THE STEP UP FROM THE JUNIORS? 
Yeah, definitely. There’s some very good players there and a lot of people wipe it over because it’s got a reputation of being hard tackling and that kind of stuff but there’s some brilliant players in the Junior leagues and I was lucky to have three really good years at Armadale, and then a year at Bathgate which has helped me get where I am today. I must admit I am really thankful for what they done and it’s a new challenge - one that I’m absolutely loving.

TALKING OF NEW CHALLENGES, KIERON STALLARD’S AWAY TO AUSTRALIA. DID YOU HAVE ANY WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT?
I’ve known Kieron for a lot of years, having played with him at Falkirk at youth level and he helped me settle in at the club and in the last couple of games he’s shown that he’s a very good player. I’m sure he’ll do well over there - it’s life changing for him. All the boys wish him all the best. It’s a bit sad to see him go!
