Partick Thistle v Airdrie preview
22nd February 2013
Airdrie look set to be without three defenders for Saturday's trip to Irn-Bru First Division title hopefuls Partick.
Ricki Lamie and Marc Warren will both serve the second game of their two-match bans.
And veteran centre-back David Lilley is sidelined due to a nagging groin and hamstring problem.
Further forward, former Stirling Albion winger Alan Cook brings the absentee count up to four with a long-term ankle injury.
Firhill in Glasgow's West End was the scene of United's record defeat back in October when the Jags won 7-0.
However, the Diamonds restored pride with their best performance of the season in December which earned a 1-1 draw.
Manager Jimmy Boyle hopes his players remember that display this weekend when they meet the Jags for the third time.
And he says he has no plans to revisit the Firhill thrashing during the team's final pre-match preparations.
He said: "I think there are enough boys here who remember that result. I won't be mentioning it as I don't think there's any need to.
"We played really well when we got them back here which was pleasing as we made a lot of changes that day. We know we're in a difficult position but I believe we can get out of it."
