Jim Lister signs
11th May 2013
Jim Lister has become Airdrie's second signing of the summer.
The 32-year-old signed a one-year contract at New Broomfield stadium on Saturday.
Lister scored 15 goals this season which helped Dumbarton clinch their place in the Irn-Bru First Division.
But he joins ex-Cowdenbeath forward Lewis Coult in committing his future to the Diamonds.
The Falkirk-based striker said: "I was delighted Dumbarton stayed up and I felt I had a good season.
"I learned some new things in the First Division and I'm hoping I can bring that back to the Second Division and have an even better season here.
"Dumbarton offered me a deal but I discussed things with my family and thought the best decision for me was to come here.
"I spoke with Jimmy on the phone and he was very positive. This is a great club with a great set-up.
"The club is also close to where I live and I'm hoping that we can go on and have a good season.
"I think the young lads Airdrie have are quite good although they are a bit raw.
"I think with the right experience and pointers, they can become very good players."
The club can also confirm that defender Grant Evans has signed a new one-year contract.
