Following recent events, the club felt it was appropriate to provide an update regarding a number of issues.

 

PLAYING SQUAD

Our recent publishing, and subsequent withdrawal, of the statement regarding Leighton McIntosh came about because the player verbally agreed to sign for the club. After the news was announced on the club’s media channels, the player got in touch to say he had changed his mind. This is the first time such a situation has arisen, and as such we have now amended procedures which have been in place for a number of years regarding signing announcements.

 

Subject to the completion of the appropriate paperwork, Dean Cairns, Scott Robertson and Joao Victoria have all agreed to terminate their contracts and have left the club. Naturally we thank all three players for their service, and wish them the very best in the future.

 

We have received and accepted an undisclosed offer for Kieran MacDonald, and the player will move on subject to personal terms being agreed.

 

Talks are progressing on a number of fronts regarding new players coming in, and announcements will be made in due course.

 

KIT LAUNCH

In conjunction with kit suppliers FN Teamwear, an announcement will be made soon regarding the launch and availability of our new kits.

 

PRE-SEASON

A number of pre-season fixtures have been provisionally agreed, and will be confirmed when we know our Betfred Cup schedule. The Betfred Cup begins in mid-July and the draw for the group stages takes place this evening.
