Thank You to the Diamonds family
11th March 2016
On behalf of Airdrieonians FC Head Coach Eddie Wolecki Black, his wife Emma and the Club, we would like to thank everyone who has sent cards and messages to wish the gaffer well on his battle back to health.
We have been inundated with messages of support for Eddie and every e-mail, card and text is being passed on to him as he continues his recuperation from the stroke he suffered during last Saturday’s 1-3 League One win at Cowdenbeath.
Eddie is now out of the High Dependency Unit at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital and starting out on the road to recovery and he has received all the cards, good wishes and texts we have been given.
Emma told airdriefc.com: “The support we have been given from throughout Scottish football has been overwhelming but, in particular, the fans and everyone at the Club have been terrific.
“I know Eddie was touched by the gesture of the minute of applause during the Forfar game and that meant a lot to him.
“Eddie lives and breathes his job at Airdrieonians and all his focus now will be on getting well enough to return. Until then I just want to say thank you to everyone for their kind wishes.”
