Airdrie v Livingston preview

8th November 2012

Airdrie expect to have Cameron MacDonald and Sean Lynch fit again for the Friday Night Football visit of Livingston.

The pair have missed several weeks with hamstring and calf injuries respectively.

But boss Jimmy Boyle thinks both players will be available for the clash with the Lions at New Broomfield.

This will be the Diamonds' first home Friday fixture in almost a decade and the manager is looking forward to the occasion.

He said: "I think it's a great idea and it is good to try something different every now and again.

"I'm used to football being played on a Saturday but it's OK to try new things a couple of times. But if you ask me after a win on Friday night, I'll probably want to do it all the time!

"We're beginning to get some players back which is excellent. We don't have a big squad and it has been stretched these past few weeks but we're getting stronger.

"It's going to be a tough game. Livingston are a good side if you stand off them and let them play so we must make sure we don't do that."
