AIRDRIE v HAMILTON ACADEMICAL
4th October 2012

JIMMY BOYLE will be forced into several changes for Airdrie's weekend visit of Hamilton Accies.

Injuries and one suspension mean the Diamonds boss needs to shuffle his pack.

Cameron MacDonald (hamstring), Sean Lynch (midfielder) and John Boyle (ankle) are all unavailable.

Gavin Griffin (broken hand) is a major doubt with David Lilley missing through suspension following his red card in the 3-2 loss to Morton.

"A couple of young players from the under-19s will be involved," Boyle said ahead of the Lanarkshire derby. "We will just have to get on with things."

Airdrie have lost four of their last five matches and Boyle is desperate for an upturn in form and results.

"There is a major lack of belief within the group and I don't understand why," he added.

"We defended really badly against Morton and I'm disappointed. There is no consistency.

"We aren't confident enough on the ball and gave it away cheaply. We need to improve."

Meanwhile, Airdrie maintained their 100 per cent record in the SFL Reserve League with a 2-0 win at Livingston on Tuesday night.
