ASDA KIDS DAY - PRIZE WINNER PRESENTATION
17th September 2012
Prior to the last Airdrie home match vs Cowdenbeath, we had a presentation on the park to St Mary’s Primary School pupil, Liam Doris.
This was following on from the hugely successful Airdrie Schools’ Football Day that we hosted at the Excelsior back in April. Sponsored by Asda Stores, the event had a large number of schools from North Lanarkshire taking part in a football festival, with pupils then attending Airdrie’s next home match for free, courtesy of Asda.
A prize draw was held that day, with the winner getting a season ticket for Airdrie FC in 2012-13. The lucky winner was Liam Doris, from St Mary’s School in Airdrie, and he came along to the last match to receive his prize from local Asda colleague Anne Binks.
Liam assures us he’ll be coming to as many games as possible, bringing his mum or dad (or both of them) every time.
Airdrie FC congratulates Liam on his win, and thanks Asda for their great support and sponsorship of this excellent community initiative. The club would also like to thank Airdrie Supporters Trust and the Excelsior Stadium for their help in making the day such a success.
