ROSE BALLANTYNE - Director
Rose has been a lifetime Airdrie Supporter going to Broomfield with her father when he had seats in Row A on the centre line as far back as 1945. In 1953 she met John and both of them followed Airdrie both home and away. They married in 1957 and their children Ann Marie and Jim also followed suit and the trip to Broomfield became a family outing. Rose helped John set up Ballantyne and Company in 1964 and worked in the office until 1996 when she retired from full time work and now helps out on a part time basis. Becoming a Director at Airdrie was a dream come true and she has now become an expert in catering for the team on their away games
IAN McMILLAN - Honorary President
'The wee Prime Minister' has lived every Airdrie boy's dream, when his sublime talents were recognised by the international selection committee and Ian fulfilled a lifetime ambition by playing for his country. His sportsmanship, in tandem with his skills, made him an extremely popular Airdrieonians player. He is still very well respected by everyone in football and will be a great asset to the future of Airdrie Football Club, in terms of linking the future of the new Airdrie FC to the history of the football town.
